Hi everyone.
I have two questions about Aptra Advanced NDC Central application:
1 - Central application must download a LUNO (logical Unit Number) to terminal if it received a '000' as LUNO in a PowerUp message from Terminal. Now, how the Central can recognize the terminal if the LUNO sent from terminal is '000' for the first time? Is the "Machine Number" (the 6 characters security terminal number) always with LUNO in messages? If yes, should it be the key?
2 - Why LUNO is just 3 digits? What if a Central application has to support more, for example 2000 terminals?
Thanks.
LUNO and Machine Number

Re: LUNO and Machine Number
2 - In our system, it's very simple: every ATM is connected to Central through unique TCP port. And ATM recognition in Central application is not based on LUNO.

Re: LUNO and Machine Number
@nonpar, thank you for help.
But if ATM recognition in Central application is not based on LUNO, what's LUNO used for?
And by "every ATM is connected to Central through unique TCP port" , do you mean there are 2000 ports on the server for 2000 ATM?
Thanks.

Re: LUNO and Machine Number
We use less than 200 ATM, but in theory, I think it is. When we install a new ATM, provider designates an unique port number for it, but does not designates the Machine No or the LUNO.
