Talladega BIOS SelfServ v. 05.06.04.00
Да, хорошо бы найти именно 05.06.04.00, так как он решает проблемы, с которыми мы уже сталкивались.
Condition/Symptom: Self Serv ATMs with Talladega cores can on occasion fail to reboot leaving black screens on customer and operator panel (GOP). The issue is very infrequent on most ATMs. Issue has been seen on all Talladega variants with no fix pattern of frequency.
Probable Cause: To recreate:
1. Using a Talladega Core (Celeron single core variant with 1GIG RAM) installed in a 6625. Also seen on Core 2 Duo variant.
2. install XPSP3 and XFS 05.xx
3. Configure the USB to be UMISC plugged into USB I/O port 0 and USB HUB into USB I/O 1.
4. USB Hub config should be port1=J-P, J2=GOP, J3=R-P, J4=imcrw, J5=dispenser pcb,J6=Epp. J7=none. Issue only reported when USB hub is plugged into core.
5. Disable quiet boot in BIOS.
6. Setup ATM to reboot.
7. Hang will occur at various points with the BIOS initialisation but most regularly at "Initialising USB controller"
Recreation requires large numbers of reboots to be run on a core in an ATM with USB devices attached. This can be done using windows command "shutdown -r - t nn" (nn = timer value in seconds) within some kind of script.
Disabling quiet boot in BIOS and also adding /SOS to the boot.ini for the windows version installed can enable tracking of where the hang might occur within the start up process.
In testing the hang occurred in multiple places within the BIOS initialisation and occasionally within the windows kernel initialisation.
Solution: BIOS 05.06.04.00 released to resolve this issue. When upgrading to this BIOS you must ensure that the USB GOP component installed on the System is at least 01.02.01.
During testing it was found that changing the USB header speed from Hi Speed to Full Speed in the BIOS also stopped the issue occurring.
